First Friday Hatboro will again bring "the arts" to downtown Hatboro,
August 6th from 6 to 9 p.m.

First Friday Hatboro is hosted by the merchants, restaurants and service providers in the borough’s business district and offers free activities and entertainment from 6-9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. Here are a few of the August events, with more to come.

McMackin Tire Center, York & Moreland. Hatboro First Friday welcomes for the first time EAST WEST KARATE which will be performing from 6-9pm in front of McMackin's Tire Center. East West Karate has been serving the community for over 12 years and will be setting up a tent for kids to try boardbreaking and coupons will be handed out for free admission to try classes. The DEMO TEAM, led by SENSEI JOE, will be performing a gymnastic style event with punches, kicks and flips so come out and enjoy this exiting event!

Hatboro Baptist Church, 32 N. York Road, celebrates TROPICAL THEME NIGHT from 7 to 9 PM, featuring PIANIST MARK LIVSHITS AND FRIENDS Join us for a relaxing evening of excellent music from a variety of styles performed by our own pianist Mark Livshits along with other talented members of Hatboro Baptist’s congregation. Mark is our pianist, organist and keyboardist here at Hatboro Baptist Church. He comes to us from the Temple University school of music, where he has completed undergraduate and graduate studies in piano performance. Mark has extensive training and performance experience in classical and jazz piano. He regularly plays concerts in a variety of venues in the Philadelphia region, including a recent debut performance of Dave Brubeck’s original composition “Ansel Adams: America,” performed live at the Kimmel Center with the Temple University Symphony Orchestra, in which Mark performed the lead piano part. We are delighted to have Mark with us, and greatly looking forward to him sharing his gifts and talents with us @ HBC for this special First Friday Hatboro appearance! The evening will also include an ACTIVITY FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES along with delicious SNACKS AND LIGHT REFRESHMENTS. Admission is free, donations welcomed. We hope you will plan to join us!

Hatboro Area YMCA, 440 S. York Road, is hosting a TWILIGHT RIDE EVENT on the first Friday in August. This is a paid event for anyone who would like to ride the stationary bikes out by the pool. All fitness levels are welcome, beginner through advanced. Sign up at the Welcome Center to reserve your bike. Also offered are FREE KIDS ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING MOONBOUNCE AND DEMO CARDIO KIDS CLASS!

Look for the First Friday gold flags displayed by participating businesses and follow the fun. Enjoy music or an art exhibit, take advantage of First Friday Specials offered by the merchants. Take a stroll through Hatboro, delight in its cuisine, meet up with friends and neighbors, and have a great evening!
